The U.S. Karate-Do Hakua Kai Association is affiliated with the Japan Karate-Do Hakua Kai Association, which was founded by the late Chief Master Instructor Katsushi Iwabuchi. Shihan Bernard Edwards is the Master Instructor of the U.S. Karate-Do Hakua Kai Association and also the President and Founder of the Edwards Karate Schools and the Hakua Kai International Organization. The Edwards Karate Schools have been teaching traditional Japanese Hakua Kai Karate-Do to adults and children on the San Francisco Peninsula for the last 36 years.
